PBM Red Light Therapy Today
Early uses of PhotoBioModulation (PBM) exclusively employed lasers. As a result PhotoBioModulation is sometimes mistakenly identified as 'Laser Therapy'.
As PBM technology has evolved, light sources other than lasers have became more commonly used. And safer, more effective and efficient ways of employing PMB have developed –– broadening the range of treatment applications.
LightCareRX uses the most advanced PBM light source –– a proprietary plasma-arc lamp, which delivers more of the critical infra-red wavelengths required for the most effective PhotoBioModulation treatment.
All our RX systems control this lamp's spectral with a patented filter system to pass only the desired red light and essential near infra-red wavelengths that can safely penetrate more deeply, without irritation or risk of burning.
The LightCare RX series delivers 10 different near infra-red wavelengths to allow for different cellular response characteristics. This compares to previous generation light sources such as Lasers that use 1-2 wavelengths and LED light sources that deliver 2-4 wavelengths.
